New product alert!

At the workshop, I am always trying to think of new ways to use the recycled wood that I have around.
A new take on the candle holders that I usually make. These can be bought as a single, a pair or even a set of 4.

The smaller holders are 5 and half inches tall and 3 inches wide.
The taller holder is 9 inches tall and 3 inches wide.

Perfect for mother's day, wedding gift or just to treat yourself.

Monday morning update!

So this is a glue up for the week's projects. Sadly this is the biggest glue up I can do due to space and clamps ha!

What you see here is actually part 6 of my steps. So when you see what I make you can see the time and effort I have to put into these projects. The downside of using reclaimed wood. But hopefully well worth it at the end stages!!

So keep a look out for what this large slab will turn into!

Seeing as love is in the air today, why not treat yourself or a love one to a shy beaver heart, hand made with love.

These can be done as natural or in a light grey wash.

These measure at 7" wide and 7" tall. Can be hung or just left on the side.

£12 each.

So I made a few more of these, this time from a herringbone picture that I didn't end up doing much with.

As you can tell I like to use up what I have laying around.

So a typical Saturday morning, trying to sort out orders and prep for tomorrow's market.

My dog hooks seemed pretty popular last year, so I'm trying to get a bit of stock!

These come in natural or burnt. Either with "Walkies" engraved or if you would like it personalised then I can do that too.

These small ones are approx 6"x 8" and 20mm thick.

Message for any info.

So I had a few hours today to get my air cleaner set up and running.

So thanks to the expert brother in-law! We now have a door on the workshop, still a work in progress but hopefully you can see what I am going for! Ha

So it was a busy Saturday for the beaver! With some help managed to get the old garage door off, get the floor boarded front frame in and started to install the insulation.

First time I've done anything along these lines, but learning and hopefully will be ready to enjoy the new space!

Dont forgot to keep an eye out for the new updates!

First thing first is to install some insulation and a new floor! Doing this all by my self, with a little help here and there! Hopefully the beaver won't be out of the game to long!

Well it's almost Christmas, and the beaver is slowing down as it's been a crazy 8 months since I started this little journey.

I've learned a lot and will carry on learning.....I hope ha! It's been great fun meeting and talking with people about what I try and do with wood ha!

I'm sure next year will be just as fun! So I'm looking forward to it for sure!

I might even get Bennie to be a bit more social and get him posting a bit more!

Cold morning in the workshop....

Trying to get a few bits sorted for the double markets this weekend!

So this all started with a few scaffolding boards from my late grandparents house.

Spent a good few days sanding them back to get them looking a bit more alive. Added a few bits of rough pine to the back, and some red wood for shelves.

Not to shabby I guess ha ?

This is what would be going off to landfill. Broken pallets just dumped on the road.

Yes it's pallets, but it can be pine, oak, cedar. You never really know til you start breaking apart. There is probably more real wood just in that pile than what most people have in their homes!

Anyway that is the start of next year's stock. A day and half worth of work. And will be a lot more over the winter months.

Don't forget to think before you throw away something 🥰🦫
